Hunter Burgamy (USA) bj, g

Hunter Burgamy is a guitarist, vocalist, and jazz banjoist from New Orleans, Louisiana. An alumnus of both the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and Boston’s Berklee College of Music, he got his start both in and out of the classroom, heading blues jams and honing his style on jazz and rock gigs from the age of 13. As both a bandleader and sideman, Hunter has shared the stage with artists such as the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Catherine Russell, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Bonnie Raitt. In New Orleans, he's a founding member of traditional jazz staple The Secret Six Jazz Band, plays with ex-Cowboy Mouth founder singer-songwriter Paul Sanchez, and leads his own band The Garden of Joy. Whilst having a particular love for the music of his New Orleans, he balances a healthy career playing early jazz gigs and backing up songwriters in the Americana/folk tradition.
